Elgg, Drupal, and Moodle -- the components of an online learning environment
Elgg, Drupal, and Moodle all have a role to play in providing tools for learning communities. The example outlined in this post illustrates one way these three applications can work together in an academic setting. At the outset, however, it needs to be stressed that this is one solution chosen from among many. These three applications can be used by different institutions in different ways in response to specific institutional needs.

How does Semantic Web support eLearning?
The key property of the Semantic Web architecture i.e. (common-shared-meaning and machine-processable metadata), enabled by a set of suitable agents, establishes a powerful approach to satisfy the eLearning requirements: efficient, just-in-time and task relevant learning. Learning material is semantically annotated and for a new learning demand it may be easily combined in a new learning course. According to his/her preferences, a user can find and combine useful learning material very easily. The process is based on semantic querying and navigation through learning materials, enabled by the ontological background.

The generations of learning
In this continuosly developing technology era, the way of learning is changing relatively. At first people had to go to education institutions for learning which called traditional learning. However, now they have lots of opportunities for learning because they have computers, mobile phones and the Internet.
E-learning (Electronic-Learning) is the next stage of the learning that allows learners to use computers as a support tool for their learning or use the computer and the Internet itself for their learning. I will add some sample website links here later.
M-Learning (Mobile-Learning) is third stage of the learning and it is not widely used yet. However, it has a great potential when considering the mobile technologies and interest of people to these technologies.
